Founder - tony granato
As the founder of Consult Granato Education, I've spent the last seven years as a licensed special education teacher in Illinois, working with students at both middle and high school levels. My journey in SpEd has taken me from supporting young learners in foundational skills to guiding high schoolers through complex transitions, including age 14.5 planning under ISBE guidelines. Along the way, I've also served as a coach, helping students build resilience and independence beyond the classroom. Growing up in the North Shore, I understand the unique pressures and opportunities of the Chicagoland community, which has shaped my commitment to helping local families navigate educational challenges.I'm married to a fellow special education teacher who specializes in life skills, and together we bring a combined passion for practical, real-world strategies that empower students. Whether it's crafting measurable IEP goals or teaching executive functioning techniques, my approach is grounded in hands-on experience to ensure families get the support they need.
